The UXi Rugby Institutes is a WORLD-CLASS developmental programme of rugby athletes to achieve at highest level of competitions: emphasis is on winning prestigious competitions. It is about developing a “culture” within athletes to unlock potential performance – this culture is driven by Coaches and all participants within the Institute structure.

A great emphasis is put on the holistic development of the players. It is for this reason, that a student will be developed both as a rugby athlete as well as for a career in and after rugby.

Can I play just rugby without any of the other programmes (Academic, Life Skills, Mental)?

No. Our vision at the UXI Rugby Institutes is to inspire greatness, through sports to LIFE, and to develop a holistic human being and prepare them for life in and after sport. The other components of the programme (academic qualification, life and mental skills programme) are integral to this holistic development process and is what makes the UXI Rugby Institutes so successful, and therefore cannot be excluded.

Can I move to another UXi Rugby Institute in the following years?

Of course! Our UXi “National Footprint” encourages you as a student athlete is play, stay, study and travel your way across our beautiful South African landscape. For this reason, we have 6 UXi Rugby Institutes across 6 Provinces, all which follow the same UXi Programme and Nationally Accredited Academic Qualification. This means that you can transfer to a different Institute, if you are presented better opportunities there, without any interruption to your programme.
